Here are procedures to do it:

First of all check your phone to know if you have enough airtime in your Etisalat number, if you have up to N50 then you can initiate the transfer.

Secondly, check your Etisalat Transfer Pin Code and change it to your own secret pin code. In other words, change the default Pin Code for airtime transfer to a personal secret pin code to secure the airtime in your SIM Card.

Dial *223* PIN CODE * Amount * Receiving Etisalat Phone Number#. This simply means if you are sending N100 to 08012345678 with PIN code 1234, you need to dial *223*1234*100*08012345678# then send it with the “Call” button.

If you dialled the code correctly, you will receive a message of confirmation with two options “1” to confirm the transfer, “2” to decline the transfer. Press “1” or Type “1” and send to confirm the transfer. Afterwards, you will receive a message telling you the airtime has been transferred.

Just like another telecommunication network in Nigeria, 9Mobile does not charge money for airtime transfer, it is a completely free service.

HOW TO CHANGE THE DEFAULT PIN CODE FOR AIRTIME TRANSFER IN ETISALAT

The procedures you read on airtime transfer will not be complete without telling you how you can change your Etisalat Transfer Pin Code.

A transfer PIN code is like a password that allows you to send money in your Etisalat number to another Etisalat number. However, using the default PIN Code for this purpose may actually work but will put the airtime in your Phone at risk because anyone that has access to your phone can transfer all your airtime to another 9mobile number.

Therefore, to secure your airtime you need to change the default PIN Code to a PIN code that only you can use and remember. In other words, it should become personal secret PIN codes.

Here are simple procedures to change the PIN code:

Every Etisalat number has a Default Transfer Pin 0000, you need to change this PIN to any PIN of your choice.

Dial *247*0000*NEW TRANSFER PIN# i.e. assuming your new Transfer PIN is 2345. You will dial *247*0000*2345#.

Send the above Pin using your call button and your New Transfer Pin will become 2345 as given in the example above. Note that the new Transfer Pin you put in place of 2345 will become the new transfer Pin you will be used to transfer your airtime to any Etisalat number.
