SIMPLEST WAY YOU CAN TAKE A SCREENSHOT OF ANY SMARTPHONE 

Taking a screenshot of your mobile phone is something that every android phone user needs to know. It is not just for the fun of it, it is about helping us to keep records of certain things on our phone screen. There are many benefits we can obtain from using a phone screenshot ranging from storage of vital information to snapping and sharing photos from videos, and games, etc.

Meanwhile, there is only one way you can carry out a screenshot of your mobile phone (Smartphone) and this way will depend entirely on the smartphone brand.in other words, every brand of smartphone has its way of taking a screenshot. But before we go into that, I will discuss the conventional way for some popular smartphones. This method of taking a screenshot is very common in conventional smartphones but not the same for special or customized smartphones.

To carry out a screenshot in a conventional way using your smartphone, here are steps to take:

Locate the image or whatever you want to screenshot on your phone screen.

Get it to be at the exact position you want it to be.

Press and hold down the power button and the down Volume key simultaneously.

If you do it right, the volume line will not be showing on your screen.

Within a few seconds of holding them, a screenshot will be created and saved to your gallery’

A preview of the screenshot will be shown on top of your phone if you scroll the top screen down.

This method works for some smartphones but not for most advanced or customized smartphones.

Let me show you how most advanced and customized smartphones can executively screenshot depending on their brand:

 

HOW DIFFERENT BRANDS OF SMARTPHONES CARRYOUT SCREENSHOT

GOOGLE PHONES: Google smartphones such as NEXUS and PIXELS can executive a screenshot by simply pressing and holding down the power button and the volume button at the same time.

LG PHONES: LG phones such as LG G7 will carry out a screenshot by pressing down the volume button and the power button simultaneously. While the rest of LG’s Smartphones will carry out a screenshot by holding down the power button usually found at the back of the phone and the volume button found at the sides of the phone. The two must be held simultaneously for a few seconds to make a successful screenshot.

ACER PHONES: Acer smartphones’ method is quite different from the rest. All you need to do is to press and hold the power button for a few seconds and then drag down the notification panel to reach quick settings and tap the screenshot icon.

ASUS SMARTPHONES: taking a screenshot from an ASUS smartphone seems the same as the Acer Smartphones method. Here are how to go about it, hold the power button down and the volume buttons for few seconds, then drag the notification panel down to access quick settings and tap the screenshot icon.

HTC SMARTPHONES: taking a screenshot with an HTC Smartphone is not the same as other smartphones, it has to do with the model of the HTC smartphone. Here are HTC smartphone models and how to take a screenshot of each of them;

HTC U12+ this model of HTC phone will execute a screenshot command by pressing and holding down the power button until the phone vibrates and then tap the virtual home button on the navigation bar even as your hand is still holding the power button down.

HTC U Series (from U12+ down) this model of HTC smartphones enable you to carryout screenshot by pressing down the power button and the down volume button together for some seconds just like most smartphones would do. This method can still be applied in taking a phone screenshot with other HTC smartphones.

ZTE SMARTPHONES: ZTE smartphones operates like another smartphone when it comes to taking a screenshot. The procedure is to press down the volume-down button and the power button at the same time and wait for a few seconds to take a screenshot.

LENOVO SMARTPHONES: if you are using any Lenovo smartphone, the procedure you will use to take a screenshot is quite different from the rest. First, hold down the volume-down and power buttons for few seconds and then drag down the Notification panel from the top screen and then tap the screenshot icon in the panel.

SAMSUNG SMARTPHONES: all Samsung Smartphones follow the conventional ways of taking screenshots. Just hold down the power and volume down button of the phone for seconds to take a screenshot.

SONY PHONES: Sony phones has a unique way of taking screenshots. First of all, hold the volume down button and the power button together and then wait until a screen appears with clickable options. Click the ‘Take Screenshot’ option and your screenshot will be executed within a second.

HUAWEI AND HONOR SMARTPHONES: taking a screenshot with Huawei and Honor phones has a simple unique procedure. Just press and hold down the volume-down button and the power button for few seconds and then drag down the notification panel and switch to shortcuts and click the screenshot icon.

ONEPLUS SMARTPHONES: if you are taking a screenshot with OnePlus 5, 5T, and 6, just Swipe down with three fingers on the home screen.  But if you are using any other type of OnePlus Smartphone, you will need to follow the conventional methods by pressing and holding down the power and volume down buttons for a few seconds.

MOTOROLA SMARTPHONES: All Motorola phones use the conventional method which is to press and hold the power button and the volume down buttons for some seconds.

HOW TO USE GOOGLE ASSISTANT TO TAKE A SMARTPHONE SCREENSHOT

Though this option is not available in all smartphones, for the phone that has the app support here is a way you can use it to take a screenshot:

Open the screen you want to take the screenshot.

Just say “OK Google, take a screenshot,” and it will oblige.

The next thing is that it will save the screenshot you have created below the Google Assistant interface.

 

HOW TO SAVE AND SHARE SCREENSHOTS MADE WITH YOUR SMARTPHONE

By default, all screenshots taken with your smartphone are saved automatically in the gallery folder or file older with a screenshot title. In case you cannot find it or discover your phone has difficulty in saving screenshots. Drag down the screenshot captured icon in the notification bar on top of the phone screen. Click on it to reveal the screenshot. Click on the button options by the side of the screenshot and select the “save” option to save the screenshot into your gallery folder. Assuming you want to share the screen to a Facebook user, WhatsApp, Bluetooth, or any other source, use the button options by the sides of the screenshot to select ‘share’. There will be a list of popups. The list of popups will enable you to select which platform you want to share the screenshot with and then follow the necessary steps to get the screenshot shared with the intended person.
