“Health is wealth” – even though this has become a cliche, it remains the gospel truth.

  • Make healthy choices


Making the right choices is the first step to having a good healthy lifestyle. 

According to a published article in 2019, it reported that,”consumption of more than 4 servings of ultra-processed food was linked to a 62% increased hazard for all-cause mortality”. 

Foods like cookies, Instant oatmeal, Granola or protein bars, Milkshakes, etc, cause acute inflammation, strengthening the emergence of good health killers like diabetes, heart disease, and even cancer. 


  •  Have your cholesterol level checked out for


When checking your cholesterol, your test results will show your cholesterol levels in milligrams per decilitre. It’s crucial to get your cholesterol checked because your doctor will be able to advise you on how to maintain healthy levels, which in turn lowers the possibilities of getting heart disease and stroke.


  • Watch your body weight


One thing you should know is that if you are overweight or obesed, you are at higher risk of developing serious health challenges. These challenges may include heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, gallstones, breathing problems and some variants of cancers.   • Watch your blood pressure

  • Do some regular exercises


When it comes to exercising, what count are how often, hard, and long you engaged in it.


Taking a simple 10,000 steps a day consistently is enough, as researches has proven doing a bit hard and long exercise consistently, combined with other healthy behaviors, has the possibility to reduce your chances of getting chronic illness like diabetes, metabolic syndromes and heart disease.   


“My motto is some exercise is good but more is better.” says Dr. Todorov. 


  1. Watch out for your blood sugar levels


Good managment of your sugar level is one good way to assure your good health. Going about this is as simple as reducing the intake of sugary stuffs like  soda, candy and sugary desserts. These are dangerous foods that can cause blood sugar to rise.

Diabetes is generally known to damage heart, kidneys, eyes and nerves over time. This can millitate against your healthy living.


Now you should also know  eating smart, managing your weight, quitting smoking and doing some regular exercise are measures to reduce your blood sugar level. 

“In addition, having your blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol in a normal range decreases your risk for heart disease,” explains Dr. Todorov.
