It is always joyful to do your coconut oil at home not just for economic reasons but to be sure of the oil quality. While some coconut oil in the market may be good enough some may have been processed in a way that dropped the good benefits the oil has to offer.

In this post, I will show you the procedure for the making of coconut oil at home. However, it will be necessary to highlight some of the things you need to have before doing it.

You need to have the following:

A Refrigerator

A blender

Cooking stove

Flying pan

If you have all these in place, you can now proceed to make your coconut oil by following the steps below:

Get three fresh and matured coconuts and break them to remove the back cover.

Once you are able to bring out the part you usually chew when eating coconuts then you are ready to go to the next step.

Use a knife to cut the coconuts into tiny pieces.

Pour the pieces into your blender and add little water to help the blender blend it very well. If your blender is small, you can do it as many times as possible by blending it batch by batch.

After the blending, pour everything in a big bow and filter out the water in the ground coconut. The water is called coconut milk. The coconut oil will be obtained from coconut milk.

Now put the coconut milk (filter water from the ground coconut) into the refrigerator.

Allow the coconut milk to stay inside the refrigerator overnight or until blocks of solid coconut milk are formed.

Take out the blocked coconut milk and put into your frying pan and turn your stove to a very low-heating temperature.

Allow the coconut milk to melt inside the frying pan and continue until every trace of water in the coconut milk evaporates and solid particles inside the milk turn burnt color.

Use a fine sieve to sieve out the coconut oil from the burnt colored particles.

Store the coconut oil in a bottle.
